Over 200 residents who reside in 16 Denver Metro nursing homes, managed by
Vivage Quality Health Partners, gathered at the Knights of Columbus hall in
downtown Denver for an evening of holiday food, music, dancing and gifts. 30
Vivage employees and volunteers were on hand to serve the residents, dance
the evening away and ensure that this would be a night for everyone to remember.
Gifts for each resident were collected by staff and volunteers at the various
communities who attended and were handed out to each resident during the
course of the evening. The idea for the holiday party was conceived by
James Arneach, Director of Activities, at the Uptown Care Center. James
stated, “The best part of the event was seeing the residents enjoy themselves
and many residents told me that this was the best Christmas they have had for
a long time.” James is planning to have a similar holiday event next year
and hopes this will become an annual holiday party for residents residing
in the Vivage nursing homes. Betty Warren who lives at Summit Health Care
Center stated "I along with a couple of others from Summit, were given the
lovely chance to attend the gala festivities. There was music and the
entertainment was delightful. It was a great time for all. The presents
were the highlight of the evening. The residents and staff danced the
night away and we were very tuckered out when we got home.
We love the evening and look forward to doing it again next year."
